Russia is benefiting neither from Republican Party candidate Donald Trump nor from Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris as US President. Political strategist and political analyst Pavel Dubravsky stated this in an interview “Lente.ru”.
He emphasized that if he wins, Trump may abandon his election promises to normalize relations with Moscow and resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The political scientist believes that if Harris wins, US politics will become more predictable but will remain problematic.
Dubravsky added that the United States will not have a president who will be beneficial to Russia because Washington is on Ukraine’s side and is in the conflict.
He concluded that the possibility of global détente was not yet apparent.
The other day, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson statedHe said that if Donald Trump had been in charge of the United States at that time, Russia would not have launched a special military operation against Ukraine.
Johnson expressed the view that the former president could influence Russia and prevent the conflict from breaking out.
