“16 families have received support promised by Donald Tusk. It had to be almost immediate support, support for the reconstruction of houses,” revealed Law and Justice MP Paweł Hreniak. “*At the same time, Donald Tusk’s government provides PLN 25 million in next year’s budget for Mr Kierwiński and the minister’s services,” said Zbigniew Bogucki of PiS.
A month after the flood, PiS MPs are criticizing the government’s actions in combating the effects of the element and pointing out that there is insufficient help for the flood victims. According to information obtained during an inspection at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, only 16 families received support up to PLN 200,000. PLN for the reconstruction of houses.
The day before, Marcin Kierwiński, the government’s plenipotentiary for the reconstruction of flooded areas, spoke about the flood in the Sejm. He spoke generally about aid for flooded areas, but avoided answering questions from PiS MPs about how much money had been paid for the reconstruction of apartments, houses and farm buildings; what support farmers will receive in clearing agricultural land affected by the flood; about entrepreneurs; about allocation holders.
There is no support
At Friday’s press conference, PiS MP Paweł Hreniak claimed that flood victims could not count on support from Donald Tusk’s government a month after the flood.
He recalled that the flood devastated 11,000 people. single-family homes and 3 thousand multi-family homes, i.e. – as he said – a total of about 14 thousand. households should receive a support amount of up to PLN 200,000. PLN for reconstruction.
Today it looks very bad. These costs incurred by Mr. Marcin Kierwiński are many times higher than the cost of payments issued to flood victims who want to rebuild their apartments and houses today. I would like to remind you that in the 2025 budget the amount of PLN 25 million for the services of Minister Kierwiński, the Minister of Floods, is mentioned in the budget. As of today, PLN 1 million 200,000 has been allocated for payments to flood victims who want to rebuild their houses and apartments.
– he pointed
Hreniak said that during a parliamentary inspection at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, they learned that only sixteen families received such funds for reconstruction.
16 families have received support promised by Donald Tusk. It had to be almost immediate support, support for the reconstruction of houses (…). This money must be in the accounts of the flood victims, they must start rebuilding their houses and apartments
– he emphasized.
Terrible data
A month has passed since the flood. This is the end of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s era of PR. The people of Lower Silesia, Opole and the inhabitants of the southwestern part of Poland count on activity, on a strong state that supports everyone who is in need today. After a month we can say that Donald Tusk’s country is certainly not a strong country
– he said.
The politician pointed out that Prime Minister Donald Tusk assured that he would “bring in a strong man from Brussels, Marcin Kierwiński, who would coordinate the activities related to the flood.”
There is no government
MP Zbigniew Bogucki also criticized the government for its actions in connection with the flood.
Donald Tusk and his government were not there before the flood, they were not there in the early days of the flood and they are not there after the flood
– he said.
Bogucki announced that a total of PLN 1,127,000 had been paid to 16 families. PLN, so on average about 70 thousand. zloty.
At the same time, Donald Tusk’s government provides PLN 25 million in next year’s budget for Mr Kierwiński and the minister’s services. For what? For salaries, salary derivatives, business trips and training
– he said indignantly.
The politician also said that support for the reconstruction of farm buildings will amount to a maximum of PLN 100,000. PLN is not paid at all.
We are dealing with a government of losers, we are dealing with a government that is not interested in Poland
– he assessed.
Alarming messages
This is not the first information to cast doubt on how the government is actually providing aid to Poles affected by the flood.
Shocking news was revealed by, among others: Jakub Maciejewski, reporter of Telewizja wPolsce24.
The authorities ignored this flood from the start. At first the prime minister ignored the predictions, but then so did his ministers and local government officials. Here in Kłodzko we came across a blood-curdling story. When the dikes in Stronie Śląskie broke and a huge wave of water flowed into other towns, future flood victims were not informed that such a natural disaster was approaching them. Witnesses tell us about complete chaos
– he reported.
