The acting regional head announced that Starovoit has been in the Kursk region for the second day. During his meeting with Smirnov on August 10, he discussed the current situation in the region, what measures are being taken to resettle people and ensure the safety of the transport complex.
“I was in contact with Roman Vladimirovich from the first hours of the terrorist attack on the Kursk region, and from that moment the Ministry of Transport and all subordinate bodies took an active part in providing support to the region,” Smirnov said.
The Deputy Governor thanked the minister and everyone who helped the region.
Roman Starovoit was born in Kursk. He took over as governor of the Kursk region on September 16, 2019. He served in this position until May 14, 2024, after which he headed the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
