““We never promised Tusk that we would implement his program. We signed a coalition agreement that did not include the elements put forward by these ladies,” PSL MP Marek Sawicki said in an interview with wPolityce.pl. The senior marshal sharply criticized the left-wing politicians who caused a storm around his party. “Since they don’t have much to offer anymore, they cause ideological divisions,” a PSL politician said.
During yesterday’s demonstration in front of the Sejm, abortion supporters even made vulgar remarks about politicians from the Polish People’s Party who opposed decriminalization. They held banners with eight stars ending with the party name “PSL” and shouted at the leader of the People’s Party, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz: “Fuck off! Fuck off! Fuck off!” In an interview with the wPolityce.pl portal, MP Marek Sawicki says that this is part of left-wing “politics”.
Some women claim the right to represent all women in Poland. I would like to remind you that in last year’s elections more women voted for PiS and Konfederacja than on October 15th for the coalition. And if we include among these women those who voted for PSL, this is nonsense. that all women want abortion on demand and that the decriminalization of abortion is not true
– PSL MP Marek Sawicki tells us.

“We never promised Tusk
Commenting on yesterday’s demonstration by pro-abortion groups in front of the Sejm, the senior marshal calls for respect for non-leftist views.
I respect their actions, efforts and temperament, but let them also respect our views and the women who voted for us and whom we represent. Unfortunately, such respect does not exist. I have spoken several times about a situation where tolerance and equality are required when it comes to the left, but there can be no question of any tolerance from the left to the other side. They have clearly shown this with their behavior and in their speeches yesterday
– declares a member of parliament from the Polish People’s Party. When asked about Donald Tusk, who already declared during the election campaign that the issue of abortion is a priority for him, Sawicki replies that this is his problem. Participants in yesterday’s demonstration called on PSL to give up their seats, because they do not support the abortion demands of the Tusk government formed together with them.
We never promised Tusk that we would implement his program. We signed a coalition agreement that did not include the elements put forward by these ladies. Therefore, if someone has to give up their seats, let them give them up because they did not implement their own program demands, which they presented to their voters.
– the former Minister of Agriculture states emphatically. So why the storm after the vote on abortion?
It seems to me that they had to make such an empty move for the holidays, for the cucumber season, to be able to live off it. Because they don’t have much left to offer, they cause ideological divisions. I hope that after the holidays we will return to working normally on the coalition agreement and the implementation of its announcements, and not on the ideas and desires of a narrow-minded left-wing group.
– adds the PSL politician. Politicians from the left and the Civic Coalition do not close the issue of abortion and announce another project regarding partial decriminalization and decriminalization of abortion.
If someone repeats the same course of action many times and expects a different result each time, he or she is simply wrong. Of course, he understands their determination, but the problem is, and I have observed this for decades, that this part of politicians is not about solving problems. They want to live with these problems so that they are still relevant in every parliamentary election. Otherwise, this climate would no longer exist on the Polish political scene. That is the problem
– summarizes Senior Marshal Marek Sawicki.
