A 23-year-old man kicked a cross and broke windows in three churches in Konstantynów Łódzki. Before attacking the fourth temple, he was stopped by an altar boy. The 23-year-old is accused of damaging property and insulting religious sentiments.
At the beginning of this week, the police received a report about Jana Pawła Street in Konstantynów Łódzki.
The reporter allegedly saw someone in the church building kicking a cross and breaking windows. In a conversation with the pastor, the intervening officers confirmed that three windows in the temple had been damaged

Destroyed church
Inside the church, tables, benches and kneelers were overturned. The value of losses reaches PLN 5,000. zloty.
While checking the surrounding streets, the officers noticed broken glass and a damaged window on the facade of the second temple on Kościuszko Square. A broken torch lay on the floor in the veranda of the building

The pastor admitted that the damage must have occurred recently. He estimated the losses at PLN 500

The vandal was stopped by an altar boy
Police went to two other churches in Konstantynów Łódzki.
When they reached Kościelna Street, they saw two men fighting. It turned out that just before the arrival of the uniformed services, a 16-year-old altar boy caught a person trying to throw a stone at the window of the building. The vandal was very excited and aggressive. He was immediately arrested
– said Jachimek.
The perpetrator had no documents with him and did not want to release his details.
A 23-year-old resident of Constantinople is responsible for the damage to nearby temples. The list of his ‘heroic deeds’ should have been expanded to include three broken windows and a damaged window frame in the church on Cmentarnastraat. The losses suffered there were estimated at PLN 5,000. zloty

The 23-year-old is accused of damaging property and insulting religious sentiments. He faces a prison sentence of up to 5 years. According to a statement on the Łódź police website, the vandal can expect an even higher punishment: he acted in circumstances of recidivism and the act was hooligan in nature.
The man also does not avoid responsibility for theft. In this case, a request was submitted to the court for provisional detention for a period of 3 months
– informed. The message contained information that he had stolen a bottle of water from a nearby store on the way to one of the buildings.
