There will be no 20% pay increase for employees of the Sejm Chancellery, which Donald Tusk personally promised in December – or so the employees claim. The decision had to be made by the head of the agency, Jacek Cichocki, Marshal Hołownia’s right-hand man. PiS MP Waldemar Buda wrote that this is part of Hołownia’s war with Tusk, whose “hostages are the agency’s employees.”
Even before the government was sworn in, Tusk promised to increase the salaries of all budget staff by 20%.
There is no formal government yet, but we already have ready-made projects on the most important issues
– Tusk said in his statement and mentioned, among other things: increase of 20 percent Trade union members of Solidarity and the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union sent a letter to the head of the Sejm Chancellery, Jacek Cichocki, demanding an explanation because the announced wage increases will not apply are on Parliament’s employees. In 2024 they must receive a salary of 4%. higher, and another 3.7 percent is granted at the discretion of the office directors.

PiS MP Waldemar Buda met with employees of the Sejm office.
There is a boiling point in the Sejm. The entire budget sector would receive a 20% increase. Everyone except… the employees of the Chancellery of the Sejm! This is another edition of the war between Szymon Hołownia and Donald Tusk. The hostages are agency employees. The head of the office, Mr. Cichocki, decided that he would include those of 2023 in the promised salary increases in 2024! This is contrary to decency and logic. Today I am meeting with the employees of the office, we will support them in their fight for the wage increase they are entitled to
