The Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland, Marcin Mastalerek, recalled that the hundred days of Donald Tusk’s government will expire on March 23. “This will be the first test for PO and the first clash between the authorities and the opposition,” the presidential minister said. According to him, Poles are facing a very difficult year, which will be a time of struggle for security. “Insulting our US strategic allies on Twitter, as Prime Minister Tusk did, is really the wrong way to do it,” he said on Radio Plus.
President Andrzej Duda said at a meeting with the diplomatic corps in late January that the most urgent matter now “is to guarantee the security of Poles and this will be his main priority.” He emphasized that NATO and the US remain guarantors of peace and stability in Europe, and that maintaining strong Euro-Atlantic ties is our responsibility. Today the Head of the Presidential Office, Marcin Mastalerek, was asked about our relations with the most important ally in NATO.
The president’s goal is one goal: to guarantee the security of Poland, he has said this consistently for a long time. This year will be a year of struggle for Polish security, all activities are aimed in this direction. We have a very important anniversary summit in Washington, then we have very important elections in the US for Polish security, and on the one hand we need to continuously strengthen and modernize the Polish army as quickly as possible, build alliances and talk to America in such a way way that we can communicate and collaborate with any government. This is how President Duda has always acted
– said Minister Marcin Mastalerek. He also referred to the behavior of Donald Tusk. During his holiday, the prime minister scolded US senators from the Republican Party, saying they should be ashamed because even Ronald Reagan was “rolling in his grave today” because of them. He also criticized US presidential candidate Donald Trump, who accused European countries of failing to meet their alliance commitments on military spending while war rages on the continent and Russia rebuilds its imperialism.
Today we are making an appeal and the President is appealing to everyone to conduct their policies in such a way that cooperation with any government is possible. Insulting our American strategic allies on Twitter, as Prime Minister Tusk did, is really the wrong way to go. I hope that Prime Minister Tusk will withdraw from this
– said Marcin Mastalerek on Radio Plus.

Another month and then we’ll see
Minister Marcin Mastalerek reminded Donald Tusk that he will soon be held accountable for his promises. During the election campaign, Tusk presented the program “100 details for 100 days” at the Civic Coalition convention in Tarnów. Entrepreneurs were promised, among other things: cash PIT, a month of “SISTER holiday”, or a return to the flat-rate system for paying health insurance premiums. However, the first point of the program was to increase the tax-free amount to PLN 60,000. zloty.
Increase of the tax-free amount to PLN 60,000. PLN is a specific step that we will implement within the first 100 days. This means that each pensioner has a pension of up to PLN 5,000. PLN no longer pays income tax
- Donald Tusk said this on September 9 at the KO convention in Tarnów.

As Marcin Mastalerek said, in a month’s time Prime Minister Tusk will have to face his own words and promises he made during the election campaign.
I think it will be 100 days on March 23rd or thereabouts. We will see, because this will be the first test for PO and it will be the first clash between the government and the opposition, precisely on this aspect – whether the PO kept its word during the election campaign. Because if someone says: 100 days, 100 details, then these details are easy to count and we will see how the settlement works out for PO after 100 days.
– said the head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
Mastalek also commented on the voices of politicians coming from the opposition benches who want to hold President Andrzej Duda accountable.
There is no point in taking President Duda to the State Tribunal, and secondly, to take someone to the Court of Justice you need a majority. They do not have this majority. So what are we actually talking about? The president is not afraid, I don’t think he knows. But if he knew, he’d probably laugh. It’s completely unrealistic
– said Marcin Mastalerek on Radio Plus.
