Zbigniew Czerwiński became the candidate of PiS and United Right for mayor of Poznań. According to Czerwiński, during the last years of the government of the current president, Jacek Jaśkowiak, the capital of Greater Poland has lost its position as an important city in Poland and is not developing as its residents would expect.
Poznań loses its leading position. In the 1990s, when the transformation began, it was known that there was Warsaw and that the second center with enormous economic dynamism was the city of Poznań. At this moment we are starting to lose the competition with Krakow, we are starting to lose the competition with Wrocław, and this is an unacceptable situation. We can do better. We are angry and outraged by what is happening
– said Czerwiński during the press conference.
Criticism of President Jaśkowiak’s government
Referring to his campaign slogan, he emphasized that “Poznań should be as it should be.” As he added, during the last years of the government of the current President of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak, the capital of Greater Poland has lost its position as an important city in Poland and is not developing as its residents would expect.
We want Poznań to become the best city in Poland in terms of living and economic efficiency, but unfortunately this is not happening. Time for change
– noted Czerwiński.
According to him, only PiS and the United Right can guarantee real change and an alternative to the government of PO and Jacek Jaśkowiak.
‘We are fighting for the yellow jersey for Poznań’
We expect that Poznań will once again become an economic leader, that Poznań will once again become a city whose development is the envy of all Poland, and that we will face real competition in the European market. But for that we need significant policy change. We need important investments. We must join forces that will ensure that Poznań has the opportunity to become the leader of Poland’s economic development again. We are fighting for the yellow jersey for Poznań
– he emphasized.
In the local elections, Czerwiński will face the current mayor of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak – these are currently the two official candidates for the office of mayor of the city in the next elections.
