The Moscow Tagansky District Court is handling a defamation case brought by TV presenter Alena Vodonaeva against trans blogger Andrei Petrov, who now goes by Milan Petrov. The information about the lawsuit was shared by a Telegram channel that covers Moscow courts.
Vodonaeva seeks protection for her honor, dignity, and business reputation. She requests the court to acknowledge that the statements published by the blogger on the Telegram channel PETROVA and on the news site First Women are false.
Through the suit, Vodonaeva asks for moral damages amounting to one million rubles and for the posts to be removed and retracted. The blogger’s post in question reportedly labeled her as a “Kremlin whore.”
Vodonaeva’s attorney, Evgeny Gibadullin, explained that the claim specifically targets a publication where the star commented on Petrov’s charitable activities in support of an animal shelter. Petrov has alleged that Vodonaeva promotes PMC-Wagner in her posts.
“My advertising manager received a proposal to place a similar advertisement on my Instagram where the owner of Meta is broadly recognized as an extremist and banned in Russia, and used Vodonaeva’s situation as an example,” the blogger stated.
Earlier, NTV issued a response to Sobchak’s decision to sue the network, highlighting ongoing media disputes that shape the public conversation around personal allegations and accountability.
