Marshal Szymon Hołownia prevented two parliamentarians from entering the Sejm building. These are Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik, who still have a mandate in accordance with the Supreme Court’s ruling. The situation was commented on by MP Jan Mosiński from the wPolityce.pl portal, who accompanied both MPs before the Sejm. “Those who act against the law will not avoid their responsibility before independent courts,” Mosiński told us, emphasizing that we are dealing with a scandal on an international scale.
Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński were stopped by the police and the Marshal Guard, preventing them from entering the Sejm. Ultimately, the parliamentarians were prevented from entering parliament and the main entrance to the Sejm was closed.
Unfortunately, the December 13 coalition ignored the principle of legalism from the very beginning. He violates the law by ignoring the principle expressed in the Latin saying quod lege non prohibitum licitum est, that is, what is not prohibited by law is permitted.
– says Jan Mosiński to the wPolityce.pl portal. According to the PiS MP, the illegal actions of Tusk’s team are clearly confirmed by what Marshal Hołownia is doing.
At the same time, they are trying to accuse us of sowing confusion before the Sejm. NO. This is the result of Szymon Hołownia’s terrible policies and terrible management of the work of the Sejm. The current attitude of the Marshal Guard has been documented and we will be able to turn today’s incidents into criminal charges. The law was broken, which is confirmed by a note from the commander of the Marshal’s Guard
– said MP Mosiński. The wPolityce.pl portal was the first to publish the contents of this annotation:
WE REVEAL! We have the document the PiS president was talking about! He confirms that Hołownia denied Kamiński and Wąsik access to the Sejm
Showman suit
Naturally, this situation was extremely difficult for us. We could not enter Parliament because the main entrance was closed due to our parliamentary duties. I would like to remind you that both MPs Kamiński and Wąsik have strong electoral mandates. They also have a free mandate, which means they represent the entire nation, not just the constituency, but the entire nation. Marshal Hołownia’s decision deprived them of this
– emphasizes the PiS MP.

Mosiński was highly critical of Szymon Hołownia’s behavior and stated that he could not handle his role.
He has not yet matured as a politician. He’s still in that showman suit from one of the TV stations and we’ll probably have to wait a long time for this man to get stronger so he can be a responsible politician.. Responsible for your words and attitude. For now he puts on a show that teenagers might like, but this is about the Polish state and legislation.
— Mosiński does not hide his disappointment with Hołownia’s attitude. As he emphasizes, he will not comment on insolent “words about hooliganism or vandalism” because that would mean stooping to his level.
When Hołownia talked about criminal liability, he probably had himself in mind. I did not break the law, and neither did MPs Kamiński and Wąsik. Deputies were not allowed to enter the Sejm because the main doors were closed, and they were not allowed to work in the lower chamber of parliament. This is a scandal on an international scale. And if this were the 2015-2023 opposition, we would already have the 34th visit of the Venice Commission, and the EP would only be concerned with the situation in the Polish Sejm.
– says the PiS MP. According to him, the United Right government, while not perfect, “the Sejm was a bulwark of peace, predictability and prudence.”
Nowadays the Sejm does not work, the sessions last several hours a day. This is a joke for those who work hard, I am talking about Poles who perform their duties at work
– the Law and Justice MP told us.
The incredible anarchy of Tusk’s team
And what now? What steps do party leaders plan to take now?
We will consistently prove that MPs Kamiński and Wąsik are legally elected MPs with an electoral mandate, and that actions contrary to this are contra legem, i.e. contrary to the law. Those who make them will not avoid responsibility before independent courts. This is not only my position, but also that of many non-political observers. People who look at it from the side say that this is an incredible anarchy, what Donald Tusk and his team are doing now.
– summarizes Mosiński.
