The right’s ratings are rising, which means that the left-wing rulers of the European Union are at risk of losing power, but will not give it up peacefully. Arrests of politicians, forced takeover of public institutions, night raids on the prosecutor’s office, police landings on the presidential palace – the destruction of democracy is taking place now in Poland, but could soon become a reality throughout the European Union.
A month and a half before the parliamentary elections in Portugal, the biggest jump in support was recorded by the conservative Chega party. This is not a surprise, but a new confirmation of the European trend. In Italy, the right-wing government of Giorgi Meloni was established, led by the Italian Brotherhood Party. In Sweden, Ulf Kristersson’s government is supported by the conservative Sweden Democrats. In the Netherlands, Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party won the elections. Petro Fiala’s government in the Czech Republic cooperates internationally with European Conservatives and Reformists.
These are further breaches in the left-wing wall surrounding the ruling elites of the European Union.
This neo-communist fortress is tottering, but it will not fall as long as Germany and France promote its interests. But the kings of these countries are naked. Olaf Scholz looks more like a clerk than a chancellor, and Emmanuel Macron behaves like a master of acquisitions, not the president of a nuclear power. Different characteristics can be attributed to both men, but they are certainly not statesmen. The weakness, blandness and self-interest of their leadership led to the brink of disaster for countries that should be the mainstay of the European Union’s stability and security.
Will someone come to their rescue?
The answer to this question is given by the Munich daily newspaper “Sueddeutsche Zeitung”.
In the crisis, the future of the European Union largely depends on the German-French duo. However, this time it is not enough. The Weimar Triangle, which was effectively dead during the rule of the National Conservatives in Poland, must be revived. The new Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk knows how to fight the enemies of democracy. Macron and Scholz need him as an ally
– writes an influential German newspaper.
For more than a month, Poland has been experiencing an unimaginable and unprecedented destruction of democracy. Tusk’s regime jails opposition politicians, forcibly takes over the public media, organizes a night raid on the prosecutor’s office and facilitates police access to the presidential palace. If such things had happened during the rule of law and justice, the EU institutions would have launched a furious attack on Poland, including the threat of expulsion from the EU.
Why are Tusk’s actions, which have all the hallmarks of a coup, called “the fight against the enemies of democracy”?
There can only be one answer. The European left is testing violent variants of taking over or defending power in Poland. They investigate the extent to which reality can be distorted and public opinion can be fooled into viewing state banditry as a defense of democracy. This is training for what is likely to happen on the Rhine and the Loire.
A real festival of hatred and fear against the AFD party is taking place in Germany.
The more paranoid the local media and mainstream politicians behave, the faster support grows in the polls for a party that can turn the political tables in its country and, consequently, in the entire European Union. AFD activists are labeled as fascists, populists and nationalists, although in the media discussion it is difficult to find a reasonable explanation as to where the incredible popularity of this party comes from. The hypothesis that after eighty years there has been a revival of nostalgia for the Third Reich in Germany makes little sense.
It is much harder to admit that AFD was developed by Chancellor Angela Merkel and Olaf Scholz on their own chest.
They brought three plagues on Germany and Europe that are destroying civilization as we know and accept it. The first is the deadly climate policy that has ruined the EU economy and emboldened Putin. The second plague is uncontrolled immigration. Europe and Africa fear it, where there is a decline in enterprising, young and active people. Instead of building wealth in their home country, they wander around Europe in search of benefits and an easy life. The only winners from migration policy are human traffickers who collaborate with European non-governmental organizations that can count on the generosity of their governments. The third plague is political correctness, which dominates public spaces and invades our private lives. There is a constant attack on the most important communities, namely the family and the nation. Under the pretext of supporting minorities and combating exclusion, individualism, hedonism and cosmopolitanism are promoted in the media and culture as a counterweight to solidarity, responsibility and patriotism. More and more Germans have had enough of this socio-economic experiment. The problem is that no one had the courage to speak out about it. Until AFD appeared and unblocked the channel of social protest and opposition.
The same thing happens in France.
The social situation and economic parameters are of course different, but the compass of change is starting to point in the same direction as in Germany. People are tired of Macron and he is looking forward to the National Rally led by Marine Le Pen. This is where more and more French people see hope for their homeland’s return to European civilization.
If the European Union were a democratic structure, it would have to accept the election results when the AFD or the National Union came to power. However, let us not forget that in the European family the tone is set by the neo-communists, and that this is not an environment particularly committed to democracy. It is difficult to expect them to peacefully relinquish the power, privileges and money they pump out of the EU institutions, including: under the guise of climate policy.
In communist times, party leaders often expressed disappointment with the nation and turned down repression. History can come full circle. If support for the right continues to grow, Scholz or Macron, for fear of losing power, may use the methods already tested by their friend and veteran in the fight against the enemies of democracy – Donald Tusk.
