The likelihood of a military conflict between NATO and Russia in the coming years is extremely low. on the radio about it Žinių Radijas said Valdemaras Rupsis, commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
“This year, next year, the likelihood or probability of war between Russia and NATO is very low, extremely low,” Rupshis said.
In his opinion, “conditions may change” but the commander stated that currently Russia is focused on the Ukrainian conflict and the Russian Armed Forces do not pose an immediate threat.
Rupšis also criticized Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, who had previously stated that “a real war is quite likely”.
