The Presidium of sovereign Poland recommends voting against the dismissal of the Confederation’s deputy chairman of the Sejm, Krzysztof Bosak, the group announced on platform X. What argument was made?
As we read, the leadership of Zbigniew Ziobro’s party condemns the behavior of MP Grzegorz Braun, but believes that “the behavior of a single MP cannot abolish the right of the parliamentary club to have a representative in the Presidium of the Sejm.”
The left’s motion to dismiss Bosak from the Sejm Presidium
During the session starting Tuesday, the Sejm will vote on the left-wing proposal to dismiss Deputy Marshal Krzysztof Bosak from the Confederation.
This request is related to the December incident in the Sejm. Confederation MP Grzegorz Braun used a powder fire extinguisher to extinguish Hanukkah candles lit in the Sejm. He then appeared on the Sejm stage when Vice Marshal Bosak was in charge. The procedure was taken over by Marshal Szymon Hołownia. The left filed a motion to dismiss Bosak as deputy speaker of the Sejm, arguing that he enabled Braun to deliver an anti-Semitic speech that included: calling the Hanukkah candlelight ceremony “racist.”
