“From the position of a parliamentary minority, it is difficult to woo anyone, because it is difficult to implement your plans. Without any doubt, we will also try to achieve a very good result in the local government elections, maintain a majority in the poviat and provincial governments, where we have a majority, and in this way we will try to influence society,” says Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, Parliamentarian for Law and Justice.
Postal Elections Commission of Inquiry
The year 2023 was extremely dynamic from start to finish, especially in Polish politics. And what are the goals, plans and political expectations for 2024, which starts today? This question was asked by the wPolityce.pl portal to PiS MP Przemysław Czarnek.
This will undoubtedly prove to the Postal Elections Commission of Inquiry that the fact that money was spent on organizing the elections, but no elections took place, was due to the fault of the then opposition, which blocked these elections – both by the Senate and by the Senate. and local government officials, and some of the virologists who support this
– says our interlocutor.
We will demonstrate all this before the investigative committee. And this is the most important thing in the first half of 2024 – because I think the committee will complete its activities already in this first half of the year
– he adds.
On a broader scale, during the election campaign we will undoubtedly look into the hands of those in power and point out their lies, which are already being exposed.
– emphasizes the PiS politician.
Increasing insurance premiums for entrepreneurs, increasing the budget deficit by several tens of billions of zlotys, an attempt to reduce funds for armaments by several tens of billions of zlotys, an attempt to buy television that has been illegally appropriated by the current majority a billion more than we do – these are lies that are already visible and our plan for this is that opposition will score for a year
– Czarnek sums up.
What about 800+?
When asked about the entry into force of one of PiS’s election announcements, namely increasing the 500+ benefit to PLN 800, the MP emphasizes:
These are no longer plans, but facts. 800+ comes into effect today and that is certainly thanks to PiS.
However, is there really no reason to fear that the current government wants to limit or take away 800+?
I’m afraid of everything from this government. If they try to reduce military expenditure by several tens of billions of zloty, if they question the contracts with South Korea, if they increase the burden on entrepreneurs, if they increase the budget deficit, then sooner or later we can also see a reduction in expect social transfers. which were, after all, the domain of Law and Justice and the essence of our revolution of dignity
– says Przemysław Czarnek.
I would like to remind you that the current budget of a family of four (two children and parents working on the minimum wage) is almost PLN 10,000. zloty. When they gave up power in 2015, it was 3,400 PLN. The gap is huge, I hope it will continue for some time, but unfortunately I fear that social transfers will be limited over time
– he adds.
As they announced, “what is given will not be taken away.” Nevertheless, these lies that I mentioned at the beginning of our conversation show that it is necessary to pay attention to their hands, because they lie all the time
– emphasizes the MP.
“In this way we try to influence society.”
Can we expect Donald Tusk’s government not to last a full term or even a year?
This is – in my opinion – politically secondary to us. First and foremost, we want to maintain the unity and stability of our club and our environment. It is successful because the fight over misappropriated public media unites and strengthens us, and that is the most important thing. And if they trip over their own feet – they may at some point – we must be ready to take over
– notes the PiS politician.
When asked whether Law and Justice has plans to reach a specific group of voters who have turned away from this group, for example, in 2023, our interlocutor indicates:
From the position of a parliamentary minority, it is difficult to woo anyone, because it is difficult to implement your plans.
Without any doubt, we will also try to achieve a very good result in the local government elections, maintain a majority in the poviat and provincial governments, where we have this majority, and in this way we will try to influence society.
– says the PiS MP.
This marathon has only just started and will last just over a year, as next year’s presidential elections are part of it. However, at the moment the local elections are the most important
– summarizes MP Przemysław Czarnek.
