Paweł Jabłoński argues that Donald Tusk’s government has not used the opportunity to block the next step in the treaty amendment procedure. The objection from one EU country was enough to stop the process.
Jabłoński announced Tusk’s decision on the X website (formerly Twitter). The PiS MP is sounding the alarm about the next step, namely the convening of the Convention by the European Council.
Today, D. Tusk’s government agreed to take the next step in the procedure for amending the treaties. The government representative at the EU Council meeting did not submit a request to remove this item from the agenda. For the record, only an insignificant declaration has been submitted – which does not suspend the proceedings. The next step is for the European Council to convene the Convention – BY A SIMPLE MAJORITY OF VOTES
– we are reading.
No problem
Jabłoński draws attention to the lack of opposition from Tusk’s government. A PiS MP accuses the prime minister of lying.
Today it could be stopped – the resistance of ONE STATE was enough. We will not leave this issue aside – the Poles deserve that Donald Tusk explains why he did it – why he lied a few days ago that he would do otherwise – and that he is held accountable for it. We will demand this at tomorrow’s Sejm session
– writes Jabłoński.
