“Never before has there been so much barbarity and brutality on the part of the PO. It seems to me that they went even further than what they did in the Smolensk case,” Dawid Wildstein, deputy editor-in-chief and director of the Polish Radio Program III, told the portal wPolityce.pl.
wPolityce.pl: What would you say about Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s reading of the late Prime Minister’s manifesto in his statement? Piotr Szczesny?
David Wildstein:There are two elements. First of all, Tusk clearly indicates that no political program has been established, so he intends to exercise power not through substantive debates or program issues, but by skillfully playing with emotions and driving them to full hysteria.
Exposé actually focused mainly on playing with emotions.
I’m actually glad that Donald Tusk referred to Piotr Szczęsny. I believe that the ‘ordinary gray man’ is a character that we, Poles, cannot forget.
Why? Because it is definitive proof that PO and its media have blood on their hands. This man committed suicide because he believed their propaganda. I would like to point out that his manifesto also contained a sentence about ‘violating the constitution’. It is a shame that Morozowski did not declare earlier on TVN24 that no violation of the Constitution had occurred, because perhaps this poor man would still be alive today.
Second, we were dealing with something absolutely unprecedented, namely the use of a mentally ill man and his brutal death as a political game. And one more thing: to present his act as a good example. We should therefore be grateful that there were no more Piotr Szczęsnys and remember the barbarity that PO and its media are capable of.
When one of the PiS parliamentarians said to Donald Tusk during the reading of the manifesto: “Don’t cry”, the chairman of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, warned him and appealed to respect the majesty of death. However, yesterday he did not invoke Donald Tusk when he referred to the late. President Lech Kaczyński clearly intended to provoke the PiS president.
Hołownia is Tusk’s subordinate. It remains to be seen what Tusk’s return to politics will bring, because the current Prime Minister and PO leader is not the same as before, so maybe someone from the new majority will dare to ‘kick’, but for now is Hołownia. just an official.
I can only say again that I agree with Tusk, and rarely with him. We must not forget the ‘Gray Man’, because never before has there been such barbarity and cruelty on the part of the PO. It seems to me that they went even further than what they did in the Smolensk case. There was, of course, an extremely scandalous collaboration between Tusk’s government and Putin’s propaganda organs, but to so openly show that one can kill in the name of political gain? Of course, Piotr Szczęsny died by his own hand, but life is life. It seems to me that even by the PO’s pathetic standards there should be some limit.
Ultimately, their entire story, which had been cultivated for years, collapsed due to the favorable election results. What “dictatorship” or “regime” can be removed from power by simply throwing a ballot into the ballot box?
This is obvious, but the problem is that since they came to power through such hysteria, their political tactics will now most likely be to maintain power through further hysteria. This is not good for Poland. On the other hand, it must be emphasized that this is how democracy works.
Will this tactic serve them in the long run?
We will see.
Thank you very much for the interview.
