Marek Jakubiak reminded opposition MPs how “hardworking” Donald Tusk was when he was Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. MP Kukiz’15 recalled the issue of his trip to Pomerania.
Jakubiak was a guest on “Breakfast at Trójka”. MP Kukiz’15 pointed out to MPs from other parties that Prime Minister Morawiecki has the right to appoint his government.
The certainty that this government will last until the end of the world and another day. He too has his end. Aren’t those who join this government fooling themselves? After all, it will end someday. The Prime Minister appoints the government and it will continue to exist as long as there is room for action. We say the president is hesitating. He gives you time. You don’t have this government yet
– he said.
He then appealed to the President to investigate the candidacy of Radosław Sikorski for the head of the Foreign Ministry of the possible government of Donald Tusk.
I would suggest that Mr. President consider this appointment for Mr. Sikorski. Suddenly the Secretary of State will be a man who is absolutely pro-Russian and anti-American. (…) I would like to ask you not to treat the Constitution selectively and not to distort the law. The president has his deadlines and it is good that he sticks to them
– he said.
Then Marek Jakubiak remembered how Donald Tusk behaved when he was Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.
I do not see another person in our political firmament who works as hard as Mateusz Morawiecki, because I am afraid that your Prime Minister will fly to Gdynia, Gdańsk or Sopot on Wednesday and return on Monday.
– he said.
Another guest of the program, Maciej Konieczny from the Razem party, assured that he would not support the government of Mateusz Morawiecki.
I am calm, the political choice was made on the day of the vote, it is known that the PiS rule is coming to an end; this was the expectation of the Poles who voted for the Razem party
– he said.
We will vote for the government that has a real majority; I am surprised that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki got involved in forming a government knowing that he did not have a majority
– added.
In turn, Robert Kropiwnicki of the Civic Platform, when asked whether Donald Tusk will continue to argue that he is against changes to the European treaties, replied:
Our raison d’etre is to be a member of the EU, but the status of states must be preserved, the sovereignty of Poland must be preserved; the position will certainly be agreed with the coalition partners.
