You cannot agree to strip the sovereign powers of the authorities in Warsaw so that we – Poland – cease to be hosts in our own country – said the President’s advisor, Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz.
The main promise of the opposition
Zybertowicz asked the representatives of the opposition groups preparing to take over the government in Poland, who participated in Sunday’s program on TVP Info, what, in their opinion, is the most important of the promises they made to Poland before the elections.
According to him, it is premature to talk about the opposition’s election promises in the program, because there is no government yet.
Of course we can judge what is realistic and what is not, but serious accountability only makes sense once there is a government, that is, after some time.
– the professor assessed the discussion.
However, the sociologist asked which promises they considered most important, because it is understandable that some plans are spread over the coming years, sometimes in a longer perspective: the next term.
Which of the commitments made to Poles during the election campaign is the most important and, in your opinion, as politicians, cannot be abandoned?
– the President’s advisor asked the program participants.
You will learn this from the speech of the future Prime Minister
– replied Radosław Lubczyk from PSL (Third Way).
Is caring for Poland ‘PiS rhetoric’?
Zybertowicz said that this obligation arises from the so-called “March of a Million Hearts” and the place where it ended – at the main roundabout of the Home Army Group “Radosław”.
In my opinion, the most important promise that made at least some voters vote for the opposition parties was made at the moment when the place where this march would end was chosen and at the moment when these hearts were pinned.
– he said.
A promise to look after Poland’s national interest. A promise to care for the memory of those whose symbol this roundabout is
– added the professor.
The question now is whether you can keep this promise – to defend our national interests and sovereignty – in a situation where the Union wants to accelerate federalization and deprive the Member States of their sovereign powers.
– He asked.
My request is that you consider the march to the “Radosława” roundabout, with Polish colors in your hearts, as an obligation to the Poles, that you cannot agree to deprive the authorities in Warsaw of their sovereign powers, so that we – Poland – stop being the hosts in our own country. This is my request to possible future rulers
– he said.
Should you fit into this PiS rhetoric?
– asked Karolina Pawliczak (KO).
What did the heart on the lapel mean to you? Had it succumbed to PiS rhetoric for electoral purposes?
– Zybertowicz replied.
You speak with PiS rhetoric and scare citizens with the European Union
– said Pawliczak.
Is the Radosław Roundabout an important place in Warsaw, does it mean anything to you? Does the memory of the Home Army Combat Group “Radosław” mean anything to you?
– asked the professor.
I understand that patriots are only in PiS
– she said.
No, on the contrary – that’s why you got so many votes, that’s why you got so much support, that’s why the turnout was so high, because some Poles believed that you were sincere by pinning the red-white hearts, that you went through to the “Radosława” roundabout you would defend our national interest
– said the presidential advisor.
Zybertowicz: It was a political manipulation maneuver
We have Poland in our hearts
– she answered.
I think it was a political manipulation maneuver – I would like to be wrong that it was political manipulation – fitting into the patriotic symbolism
– said the sociologist.
The trial is coming soon. The EU consists of different forces, there are forces that want to accelerate integration artificially – from above
– added.
He also said he accepted with “great satisfaction and respect” what Lubczyk said in Sunday’s program about the Polish uniform and solidarity with it.
I would like as many of the current opposition politicians who can govern Poland to think as you do, but there have been two – at least two – inconsistent promises made in this election.
– said the scientist.
He explained that one of them “is the promise of the Radosław Roundabout, that is, the promise to cherish our national interest.” The second was the promise to liquidate the CPK’s central communications port – according to Zybertowicz, “a project necessary to safeguard Polish economic interests on an international scale.”
Giving up CPK is like turning your back on the flag flying at the Radosława roundabout.
– said the professor.
Not true
– replied Pawliczak.
