Thanks to our well-thought-out financial policy, the state budget is in a very good condition and funds for all social and investment programs have been secured – Jarosław Kaczyński, Deputy Prime Minister and President of PiS, told PAP. “For years we have heard that ‘there is no money and there will be no money’, and today this doctrine of Donald Tusk is coming back again,” he added.
Fear of a hole in the budget
The PiS president was asked by PAP about the statements of opposition politicians, including Izabela Leszczyna, Ryszard Petru and Andrzej Domański, who said, among other things, that “there is a huge hole for Morawiecki in the 2023 state budget.” According to them, the budget is unrealistic; they also announced the creation of a “white paper on finance”.
All those stories of opposition politicians that are increasingly appearing in the public space they are one big fairytalethat is intended to justify the withdrawal from election promises
– Jarosław Kaczyński replied.
Moreover, contrary to what Tusk and his colleagues said before the election, the truth is now coming out their program is the liquidation of social programs, restrictions on good economic solutions and the sale of state assets. In short: the old is coming back, something we experienced before 2015
– he assessed.
PiS president: PO’s promises were a fraud
As he emphasized: “The platform has not changed in recent years.”
Once again it turns out that everything they said during the election campaign was true one big fraud and manipulation
– he assessed.
Our campaign was honest and based on facts and specific data
– noted the president of PiS.
Allegations of mismanagement are fabricated
When asked about the accusations of PiS mismanagement and hidden budget expenditure, Kaczyński assured that “the accusations are false.”
However, it is significant that wherever Platform politicians appear, there is no money for everything
– he emphasized.
For years we have heard that “there is no money and there will be no money,” and today this Tusk doctrine is making a comeback. This was the case when they were in power before 2015, and it is still the case in many local governments under their control.
– Kaczyński noted.
As he recalled, “at the time of the Platform, Poland was subject to the EU’s excessive deficit procedure, and billions of zlotys flowed every year from the state budget to tax evaders, VAT and fuel mafias.”
Thanks to our well-thought-out financial policy, the state budget is in very good condition and perfectly balanced, and funds for all our social and investment programs have been secured. Programs such as 13th and 14th pension, 800+ or baby layette for children are guaranteed
– assured the PiS president.
Important changes in the tax system
In this context, it is also worth mentioning the historic reduction of PiT income tax, the increase of the tax-free amount to PLN 30,000 and the first tax threshold to PLN 120,000. These changes actually leave more money in the pockets of Poles
– called Kaczyński.
As he emphasized, a large part of our citizens do not pay PiT taxes at all.
Thanks to tax cuts in Poland, disposable income will increase the most in 2022 compared to other OECD countries.
– he remembered.
In the spring of 2023, we saw a wave of record PIT refunds, totaling PLN 27 billion. The internet was flooded with testimonials from positively surprised people who had previously been misled by opposition politicians that they would lose
– noted the PiS president.
Trading ban on Sunday
Jarosław Kaczyński was also asked about the non-trading Sundays, one of the PiS government’s flagship projects, and what impact it had on the economy and workers.
As the United Right leader emphasized: “The ban on Sunday trading is a solution that we have introduced in consultation with working-class communities.”
In many European countries it is standard for Sunday, especially in large format stores, to be a day off
– added.
On the one hand, it is a good time to rest and spend a day with your family, but it is also an opportunity for many small family or neighborhood shops, which were not covered by this ban, but benefited from it and increased their range of shops. sales. Among other things, the situation is similar to various types of cultural places: theaters, cinemas and cafes, which for many of our citizens have become a place to spend a family Sunday.
– said Kaczynski.
According to the PiS politician, “the announcements to lift the ban on Sunday trading are the lobby of large foreign, German and French companies, supermarkets and retail chains.”
Such plans are further evidence of this Tusk becomes Prime Minister in Poland to pursue the interests of foreign entities
– emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
