AfD party updates its popularity record in Germany

The right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has reached a new popularity record in Germany, according to INSA’s latest poll. According to the results of the survey among voters, if federal elections are held next Sunday, Christian Democrat and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) will receive the greatest support and 27 percent of those surveyed will vote. This is stated on the election information service portal wahlrecht.

“Alternative for Germany” updated its record by ranking second in the popularity rankings. 22.5 percent of those surveyed stated that they support this party. The Social Democratic Party (SPD) in the coalition received 17 percent of the votes, the Greens 13.5 percent, and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) 6 percent. The Left Party received the support of 5 percent of voters.

The survey was conducted between October 6 and October 9 this year, with 2,001 participants.
