UN Secretary-General calls for system of mutual guarantees to restore grain deal

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced that a system of mutual guarantees for participants should be established in order to restore the grain agreement. Words lead the way TASS.

“It is necessary to create a system of mutual guarantees: guarantees that Russia (on the way to the export of food and fertilizers. – socialbites.ca) can really overcome the difficulties,” said the Secretary General at a press conference.

According to him, most of these challenges are already resolved.

Guterres added that many countries in the world associated with the agreement began to doubt that Russia might want to return to the initiative, which created resistance in these countries to return to the grain agreement.

At the same time, the Secretary-General emphasized that the UN is making every effort to re-establish an environment in which mutual guarantees can be provided for the solution of this problem.

Also the UN Secretary General named Restoration of the grain deal is one of the main goals of the organization.
