Michał Kołodziejczak is a man of character, he never betrayed his ideals. If he wanted to be with PiS, he would have been bought long ago; the general assessment that nothing good will happen in Poland without taking PiS out of power is something that connects very strongly – the head of the KO club Borys Budka said on TVN24 on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Budka was asked on TVN24 for information about the place on the KO electoral lists for Agrounia leader Michał Kołodziejczak, which was announced by Donald Tusk at the meeting of the National Council of PO. Michał Kołodziejczak will start for the Sejm from 1st place in Konin.

Laura for Kolodziejczak
Every vote of those who want to take PiS out of power is very important and cannot be wasted. (…) I am convinced that Mr. Kołodziejczak’s determination and a common view on the problems we need to solve and that nothing good will happen in Poland without PiS being removed from power is something that connects very strongly
– said the leader of the parliamentary club KO.
When asked if KO knew Kołodziejczak and could be sure that he would not “be with PiS later”, Budka judged that “if Kołodziejczak had wanted to be with PiS, he would have been bought a long time ago”.
This is a man of character fighting for the Polish countryside. (…) He never betrayed his ideals
emphasized the politician. He added that votes cannot be lost and that “every vote against PiS is priceless”.
Michał is a credible man, he fights for a better life for Polish farmers, Budka said. As he noted, the partnership with Agrounia “complements KO’s offerings” on rural and agricultural issues.
Budka added that “the synergy of villages, small towns, cities and large agglomerations is needed.”
We in the KO show that we can build up one electoral list very broadly. That’s why Michał Kołodziejczak, but also people with more leftist views, was presented today by Donald Tusk at today’s National Council
he said.
The KO MP was also asked about the place on the KO lists of Michał Wypij, who entered the current Sejm at the time as a representative of the PiS coalition partner – the Accord. Wypij gets the 7th place on the list in Olsztyn-Elbląg district. According to Budka, Wypij is a highly respected figure in his district.
It ranks number 7; voters decide. We have broad lists, but the final vote is up to the voter
he said.
Tusk ‘destroys’ the referendum
Budka was also asked about Wednesday’s words from Tusk, who stated that he “solemnly annuls the referendum” proposed by PiS politicians, which will be organized on October 15 – the same day as the parliamentary elections. The Sejm is considering the motion to hold a referendum on Thursday. When asked if Tusk’s words meant a boycott of the referendum, Budka replied that he would encourage people to participate in the election.
However, this referendum map is like a PiS leaflet. What the voter does with it is his business; the most important question will appear on the ballot paper
– said the politician of the PO.
