Do you read newspapers? It’s worth it. The conclusions are interesting. From “Tygodnik Powszechny” via “Polityka”, “Wyborcza” to Korwin’s “It’s High Time!” one common statement, one howl of joy: “PiS is tired”, “PiS is burned out”.
You don’t even know how many letters you can put around this message. They then put it on the covers, comment on it themselves and divide the election spoils on that basis.
On the other hand, we should not be surprised. Since so many books were written about the “end of PiS” when the party was just getting started, even more could be written about “fatigue” after eight years in power.
Because it is true that power consumes. But it is not that this wear and tear is an insurmountable factor. All the more so that one more, really shocking conclusion comes from reading the aforementioned media: they have nothing but hope for the fatigue of Prime Minister Kaczyński’s camp. Nothing. No offer of hope, no coherent agenda, except for one thing: “revenge”. Anyway, this is not a program for Poland.
There are also no sensible, fundamental objections to the quality of the United Right government. Of course, I’m not talking about the flaws or weaknesses of PiS, because it’s just people, not swordsmen, all this false rule of law narrative, but in an area where something great would not be delivered, implemented, fulfilled. Despite their best efforts, the opposition cannot conclusively point to such a thing. Whatever indicators he does not look at, it’s good. Record-breaking economic growth in Europe in the first quarter brings more bad news.
At Tusk hopes for catastrophewhether they are external (well inflation, electricity, coal, bread prices) or created (because the opposition is responsible for the bandit blockade of KPO money) do not materialize. Just as he has yet to find a case, a drama that would radically change social moods. He keeps trying, but you see that the foundation for such a thing is not there. There is less anger than you think.
This programmatic emptiness and inconsistency of the opposition is, in large part, also passed on worn out leaders like Tusk, Czarzasty, with the exception of Mentzen and Hołownia, leads us to a very interesting conclusion (which has already been discussed a lot in these pages) that the elections will mainly be decided in terms of image and impressions big or small energy.
Hence the cramming of these statements on the cover: the prophecy is supposed to create a belief and fulfill itself.
You must play this game.
Image and dynamism, energy, fighting spirit should become the main elements that organize the PiS campaign. It must be fought with as much vigor as if the camp were in the opposition, as if it were trying its first term. As Jacek Karnowski wrote in these pages, the 2019 campaign cannot be repeated.
However, you can and should repeat the 2015 PiS campaign or 2020 Andrzej Duda. In difficult circumstances, during a pandemic, with circuses organized by the opposition around the voting deadline, the incumbent president left the palace, rolled up his sleeves and took to the field, from village to village, from town to town. And it wasn’t great at first. But he showed the Poles that he was not stuck, that he was not tired.
Anyone who knows PiS knows that the will to win is also present in this formation. Maybe not everywhere, but in enough areas. It is worth looking at recent interviews and encounters Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyńskieffectively mobilizing the pro-Polish camp.
And Prime Minister Mateusz Morawieckiclearly capturing the campaign energy, began vigorously rebutting Tusk’s lies.
Here for example: Morawiecki’s strong speech! Prime Minister on PO and Tusk: “Their business philosophy is to watch Germany”; “We have a coolie in Poland.”
This is the direction to take when selecting campaign managers, perhaps also by putting people who are less well known in the foreground and imposing exactly two or three storylines. It is impossible to say about everything, everyone cannot talk because the main message is lost and the cacophony remains.
Poles today have a question in their mind, whether PiS still has power, freshness, idea and energy. Poles are listening for the terrible accusations of the Tusk hater to be answered harshly. And these questions must be answered – in the field.
This is good news for PiS: if the main battle is over energy, it could win the election even more (i.e. rule for a third term).
But this requires decisive decisions, betting on a few leaders who will pull it off and travel all over Poland. Just like in 2015 and 2020.
It is necessary to take note of this message from the opposition and its media about the alleged fatigue. Here, in this area, a battle has been fought. You must accept the challenge. All the more so because he is commanding the onslaught of a politician who has not tired himself as prime minister, and even today he will come to a rally at most once a week and shoot a hate video every few days. The end. He’s gone.
These elections cannot be won from ministerial offices. Social emotions are much more uncertain, there is too much unrest, fatigue from the pandemic, the consequences of war. You have to be closer to people, you have to play energy.
