Attente players noticed that in a recent gameplay video Borderlands 4 There is no mini-card-inch. Many fans did not like the innovation, and the acceleration baking chapter had to explain the public.

During the performance on the Pax East Panel, Randy Pitchford commented on the criticism of the players to the new navigation system. There were several reasons for the refusal of the mini-card-the most important was the study of the world:
We have created a damn huge world. Many actions take place in the local space, but many tasks and goals are far away, in the big world. And the mini card is not suitable for navigation if you think about different goals at the same time that can be at a great distance. But the compass goes perfectly with this.
He also noted that the mini card will be an obstacle at locations on multiple levels, where players are brought down. According to the head of the gearbox, Borderlands 4 will be much more vertical than in the previous parts of the series. The compass can indicate the location of the target with arrows that are directed up or down.
We want you to play the game, not the card. We have made a decision and invested all resources in the development of this compass system. At the same time there is a large card available – only one click. We have added more cool things to it than ever. We even have a navigation system with AI, which builds the route directly on the map as GPS builds.
At the end of the speech, Randy Pitchford simply advised fans “First play the game to understand the reasons for their choice”. He also varied the lack of downloads and the possibility to come to any visible point, the famous sense of howard spoiled.
Borderlands 4 will be released on 12 September on PC, Xbox Series X/s, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The costs of the game are still unknown, but the head of Gearbox has already suggested that the price tag would increase.
