Freedom above all, but only for time! What conservatives warned about decades ago is starting to take shape. Forced veganism, food rations more drastic than under communism, travel bans, the elimination of cars and other absurd notions of a “brave new world” are emerging with increasing brutality. The C40 Cities report shocked public opinion, but it is not the first expression of an eco-terrorist ideology. This is just another step that has been heralded for years. The idiocy of pseudo-environmentalists is so limitless that they cannot comprehend the absurd inconsistency. Man must stop eating meat and drinking milk, as this causes suffering to animals, but he must have complete freedom to kill unborn children. The child should be given complete freedom in choosing the gender and sexual orientation, because “freedom” is the most important thing, but the basic life activities should be limited by the law made by madmen. Will the confused eco-fascists finally be able to understand where their demented leaders are leading them?
Do not travel, eat meat or wear new clothes
A report from C40 Cities, an organization that includes Warsaw, New York, Berlin, Beijing, London, present recommendations that will help achieve climate policy goals. Recommendations, like the entire Green Deal, are downright murderous. According to the capital city hall, Warsaw authorities are in favor of the proposed changes and restrictions. What are the plans? Two goals were set: progressive and ambitious. The first provides for the introduction of the following limits: 16 kg of meat and 90 kg of dairy per person per year, 8 pieces of new clothing per year, flying once every 2 years, provided the distance is less than 1,500 km. The ambitious goal is based on total veganism, ie zero consumption of meat and dairy products, the purchase of only 3 pieces of new clothing and a flight once every 3 years. Pleasant, isn’t it?
If anyone tricked themselves into thinking these were just timid, non-binding considerations, the MEP Sylwia Spurek dispels doubts. She stated on Twitter that this is a condition to stop the climate catastrophe and that the opposition must have the courage to speak out about it. “One of the conditions is 100 percent veganization and making history of livestock farming” she wrote.
Ideologizing world politics
Spurek has been repeating his vegan mantra for years. He argues that it is necessary to “bring about institutional changes, for example by creating new laws (…). We must make the production of animal products more difficult and more expensive.” And so the vegan world was born. Lobbyists are pressuring politicians to create such legal provisions that raising animals for meat will become unprofitable, and meat will become so expensive that people cannot afford it.
Politicians, NGOs, celebrities and various authorities are used to create this trap. Let’s take Olga Tokarczuk, for example, who a few years ago told her readers that eating meat is a crime and that we will be ashamed of it. There was also the voice of Magdalena Środa, who wrote in “Wyborcza” in 2020: “We don’t eat meat, we eat death, suffering and fear hidden in the tissues of dead animals made into chops and steaks.” There were also frenzied performances by Sylwia Spurek about the “holocaust of cows” and “the fate of dairy cows dominated by their sex” and stories of raping cows for milk and mourning calves deprived of this milk. Most people reacted with pity, but this shift in public discourse had real political consequences.
The European Parliament launched a debate on “fair meat prices” in 2020. Environmental groups affiliated with the TAPP coalition have called for an “environmental tax” to raise meat prices across the EU. Everything was preceded by a report from environmental organizations, according to which a “meat tax” would collect money to cover the damage done to the natural environment. Today it goes even further. Some provisions are included in the EU Green Deal, politicians are discussing them, ministers of some countries are setting them as their own political goals, and pressure from environmental NGOs is mounting. What’s behind it? Let’s just remember one fact about one organization. In 2018, “Open Cages” received half a million dollars from Silicon Valley for the effective implementation of “ecology” in Poland. Sapienti Sat!
From freedom to slavery
I have nothing against veganism. May it be good for those who prefer such a lifestyle and make a conscious choice. But the opinions of critics, especially scientific ones, should be published equally. Therefore, I quote in passing a recent article by Prof. Jarosław Całka, who, summarizing the latest research, warned that “restrictive vegan and vegetarian diets are responsible for brain underdevelopment, impaired intelligence and poor mental health.”
So if people made the decision to become vegetarian in a completely free way, there would be no problem. The meat market would naturally shrink. However, when we are dealing with ecologists’ prescriptions, with political pressure, with eco-terrorism that violates political rules and leads to the disruption of economic activities, one has to ask what the interests are behind it. Why are defenders of constitutional, civil and other liberties not sounding the alarm? Such slavery, arising from various supposedly enlightened projects, was probably not even in the toughest commune. Oh, the whole truth about neo-marxism and the power of ideology. Under the banner of “freedom”, the stunned humans must fight for themselves for a tight spot in a small red cage. After that, he can only wail longingly for the world he has lost and count on the revolutionary strength of those whose conservative worldview he despises today.
