And at the beginning of the last century, what has to endure the authors of the reform – to think scary! In general, several letters were thrown from the alphabet and half of the ends were rewritten in indirect cases. If this was now, the grammar would declare the funeral of Russian literature.
Why do I recommend some kind of assumption here? This happens before our eyes, we just don’t notice some things. For example, did you know that the “black labeled fox” is now written together? Some words often changed the ground in terms of genus category. More recently, a fried piece of bread was called “Grenok” -EES, and the last syllable had a terrible stress. Multiple forms sounded like “cuteons”! Nothing is now a fixed vocabulary – “Crouton” and “Croutons”. Nobody paid attention. The dictionaries do not prescribe anything, they only record how most main speakers say. This is a long -term study, many studies, observation of trends. And tendencies, the latter stress, we do not like to pronounce the acts of two syllables. Unknown.
But if everyone is very calm for “Beckons” and “Friends” verbs, then what happened to the “calls ??
He took the role of a word marker. In the desired category of the genus, the same as the fame of “coffee”. It did not concern anyone that it should be of the middle genre (traditionally prominent inanimate borrowings, in this category – mangos, mantle and confetti). In these two words, we determine how a person is formed. So it happened. Although this is an excellent foolishness, since the speech has regional features, for example, family habits.
In the meantime, the more a person knows the language outside the school curriculum, the more he bombed from “coffee” and “calls .. I have a grandmother, coming from a small village in the Ryazan region and protecting the dialect despite living in Moscow for more than 70 years. And – including “calls”. So when I was in primary school, I was very uncomfortable with this wrong pronunciation and I tried to re -train my grandmother in vain, the character wow. Now, after graduating from the university, I do not even lead myself in the Russian language in the stylistic department and examining the literature for many years, including my grandmother. The main thing is that we understand each other.
And finally: Nobody forces us to re -educate and speak as we are not used to. However, it is also impossible to deny that many carriers prefer another option. Finally, this is our common language.
