A passenger on the bus had a heart attack and the driver went out of the way to take him to the hospital, so we all went to the emergency room. We didn’t know what to do because it was like we were cut out of our lives. It was uncomfortable, but there was a good point about it. One lady said:
– Since I’m here, I’m going to look at a wound that has been on my foot for fifteen days.
And he went to the cashier to tell his troubles. The bus driver announced that he would return to work and most of the passengers followed him, but a group of four or five decided to wait for the lady with the injured leg. Life had given us a few hours and we were determined to rush them. By the way, there was a coffee machine that helped us warm up our body, as the temperature was very low. While I was warming my hands with a waxed cardboard cup, I informed one of the passengers that I was suddenly out of myself and my life thanks to a heart attack.
“It’s the same feeling I have,” replied the passenger. I observe my daily existence from here and realize that routine is killing us. This adventure has an out-of-body journey.
The rest of the passengers joined in the conversation, and they all agreed that it was fine to be removed from our lives from time to time so that we could appreciate them from a distance. Meanwhile, the cell phone of one of the passengers who answered softly rang and he stepped back a little. Then he informed us that he was her husband.
I told him I was at the office as usual at this hour.
-And so? -asked.
-I love this sense of privacy that I don’t have when I say I’ve been somewhere at home since I was young and found myself somewhere else.
Three hours later, the woman recovered from her foot injury and we all decided to have hamburgers at a nearby restaurant. I really enjoyed it. We don’t know about the heart attack.
