Michelangelo Grimal Marcobetter, better known as the King of Simpa, outdid himself yet again. He was detained on a Wednesday in a Zaragoza bar after police reported an altercation that ended with his face swollen from excessive eating. A judge ordered his immediate release after a brief appearance in court.

Fresh from his freedom, he made his way to a hamburger shop the following day and plunged into a sustained eating spree, reportedly offering his generosity to others while racking up approximately sixty petty theft accusations in the process.

The first of the most recent two incidents occurred at 11:00 a.m. at the Parque de los Príncipes bar on Calle Condes de Aragón, where he consumed a total of 9.60 euros in food. He allegedly did not settle the bill, despite being tracked down and taken into custody.

The gastronomic sequence continued at the Investigation Court on Duty, where he was brought yesterday at nine in the morning. Witnesses report that his first question upon entering the detention facility was whether meals would be provided for him, a detail noted by an onlooker.

A recognition by a diner

There is no clear record of any meal credits that may be extended to him. It is known that after his release around 2:30 p.m., he visited the Cebrián del Actur hamburger restaurant, conveniently located near the judicial offices.

Inside this venue, a diner alerted the serving staff that the guest known for insatiable portions was none other than the waiter nicknamed the King of Simpa. The diner recognized him from recent newspaper photos without difficulty.

Consequently, the officers contacted the police and placed him under arrest once more, returning him to the police court for processing.

Michelangelo Grimal Marco is described as someone who habitually indulges in large meals, enjoying the finest dishes and drinks while ensuring that his bill remains under a threshold of 400 euros. Observers note that this pattern helps him remain at liberty during frequent checks and detentions, as only minor fraud charges can be attributed to him in such cases. Reports also indicate that a similar philosophy has extended to other activities, including a recent fine for a taxi without proper payment.
