The route starts near the Font Roja temple, where parking is available. It is a circular path under 7 kilometers (6.7 km), typically taking two and a half to three hours, depending on stops and pace. It remains an easy route, suitable for families with children, who will delight in the mosaic of deciduous trees and the confetti-like leaves drifting to the ground.

What to do in Alicante this weekend?

The region offers a wealth of points of interest and scenic views along these trails. Cova Gelada and Menejador peak provide notable highlights, while Guadalest reservoir stands out as one of the province’s most photographed spots. The surrounding environs are ideal for winter hikes, offering an accessible experience for beginners and families alike. The route begins near the dam, with a daylight-friendly drive in and a smooth start along an asphalt road with light traffic. Completing the entire circular loop comes to about 11 kilometers and roughly four hours, though actual time depends on stops and fitness levels.

The Transit route through the Enchanted Valley begins in the urban area of Las Planas. Parking is available in the square. From there you will travel 11 kilometers on a circular route that should take about four hours. The route features steep sections similar to those found on the Via Crucis.

Generally, these routes are easy enough for children, winding through paths, country roads, and forest tracks that invite exploration and a slower pace to absorb the scenery.
