In Yakutsk, an unidentified man attacked a passerby and attempted to drag her into an alley. Bystanders and a local store security guard intervened, providing aid until authorities could respond. This account was reported by Yakutia News via their Telegram channel.
According to the victim’s account, the incident occurred early on the morning of February 3. She was en route to work, waiting at a bus stop when she decided to take a brief walk. She realized a man she could not identify was following her and attempted to create distance between them.
She described the moment: “Suddenly they grabbed me from behind and their hands closed around me just below the chest. I began shouting for help. I tried to break free, but my efforts were ineffective. I heard him say in Yakut, ‘Shut up, shut up,’ and a whiff of smoke filled the air. I remained silent. Then he tried to lift me and drag me farther,” the victim recounted.
A passerby hurried to assist, and the Yakut woman managed to reach a nearby store and seek safety. The security guard and the eyewitness were unable to restrain the attacker, who then disappeared into the courtyards of nearby residential buildings.
As per the woman’s statement, she managed to contact the police after several attempts. The local officer conducted searches through the surrounding garden areas, but the intruder had not yet been located at the time of reporting.
