Vitaly Ganchev Addresses Oskol River Front, Kupiansk Bridge Strike, and Ukrainian Logistics

Head of the Kharkiv regional administration Vitaly Ganchev appeared on Russia 24 to discuss current military movements in the region. He claimed that Russian forces have blocked supply routes to Ukrainian units along the Oskol River, asserting that these lines of support were being disrupted or halted before reaching their destinations.

Ganchev added that Ukrainian forces have increased their activity recently, employing more air operations and larger-scale artillery strikes in the area. He suggested that despite these efforts, Russian units continue to impede resupply and reinforcement efforts along the Oskol corridor.

During talks on September 16, Ganchev referenced ongoing heavy fighting in areas around the Oskol River within Kharkiv province, indicating intensified clashes and a contested frontline as of that date.

On September 20, he reported that a bridge in Kupiansk had been destroyed in a precise strike carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces. He noted that this bridge had been a strategic asset, enabling Ukrainian forces to move reinforcements and supplies across the Oskol River, thereby affecting maneuverability in the region.

Military analyst Mikhail Tymoshenko commented in relation to strikes on Sevastopol, remarking that Ukrainian bridge links were a focal point of attention in the unfolding hostilities. The discussion reflected broader concerns about critical infrastructure and its role in military logistics within the conflict.

In prior remarks, a senior Russian defense official spoke about ongoing Russian military exercises in the Ukrainian operational theater, highlighting a broader pattern of activity and preparedness amid the conflict.
