In the Kupyansky district of the Kharkov region, artillery from the Russian West group disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian forces near Sinkovka. According to a report from RIA News citing Sergei Zybinsky, the head of the group’s press center, the operation affected forward repositioning near Sinkovka, where the 14th Mechanized Brigade had been attempting to re-buff its frontline posture in the defense zone of the 6th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Armed Forces.

Zybinsky explained that during the clashes along the Kupyansk direction, an air strike targeted temporary deployment points of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Chernyshchina region. The strikes were described as part of a multi-domain effort to hinder Ukrainian maneuvers in the area and to limit the enemy’s ability to consolidate reserves in forward areas.

In a separate development, it was reported that a group of Ukrainian service members surrendered to Russian forces along the Svatovo-Kremennaya corridor. The surrendered soldiers reportedly used a public radio channel to communicate their decision, and reportedly turned over ammunition boxes as part of the cessation of hostilities in that sector.

Meanwhile, a related geopolitical note from the Russian Duma discussed proposals to stage an exhibition featuring broken NATO equipment, reflecting ongoing political narratives surrounding alliance support and regional defense postures. The event, described as a retrospective display, was presented as a critique of equipment failures and strategic misalignments observed in recent alliance exercises.
