The Department of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism reports that Nuria Montes is already directing efforts with the Autonomous Treasury Secretariat. The General Directorate of Public Services is gathering the documents necessary to implement the contract that adjusts salaries. An employee of Sitval, the public company responsible for managing the Valencian Community’s ITV since last March, is involved in this process.
The company faced threats of an indefinite strike if the agreement reached with the previous district authorities was not honored, ensuring uniform pay regardless of the concessionaire.
The current ministry team, however, indicated that the contract could not be executed because it had not completed all required procedures. A formal notification was sent to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, and it was concluded that certain documents must be forwarded to the Treasury and Public Administration for approval before applying the salary equalization. This is the step the Ministry is pursuing at the moment.
After confirming the completion of this procedure, Nuria Montes reaffirmed her commitment to workers’ demands at ITV stations across the Valencian Community. She stated that the government prioritizes meeting all necessary requirements to ensure the scope of this employment contract and to guarantee its legal security. Montes emphasized diligence in delivering results and stressed the responsibility of all parties to follow the established road map to repair the situation left by the previous ITV Public Company leadership.

ITV prices fall after comeback
In 2022, during the period when ITVs operated under a special concession regime, a total of 2,232,274 audits were conducted. Sitval topped headlines alongside ongoing discussions about wage equalization across different concessionaires, which initially caused delays. Waiting times reached up to two months in some cases. At most ITV sites nationwide, appointments cannot always be secured online, but an appointment can be arranged by phone since some locations maintain an independent list managed through that channel. The emphasis remains on restoring regular service levels and ensuring transparency in scheduling and payroll practices.
