Luis Ramírez, former husband of Monica Oltra, the ex-vice president of the Generalitat Valenciana, arrived at the prison after his admission and proceeded to the City of Justice of Valencia on Tuesday. The conviction for abusing a detained minor was upheld by the Generalitat Valenciana.
In the second phase, the Regional Court of Valencia had summoned the defendant to check into the prison at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. In line with the sentence issued, authorities warned that failure to appear would trigger arrest, search, and immediate imprisonment.
Upon reaching the courthouse, Ramírez wore a black mask and a beret. He declined to answer a media question about whether he was prepared to begin serving his sentence and remained silent as he departed the Justice City in less than thirty minutes.
On December 14, the Supreme Court affirmed the five-year prison term for Ramírez, who had been accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl under the protection of the Generalitat while serving as a supervisor at a center for minors.
The Valencia Court declared the sentence final and ordered its execution. It also sought the initiation of the ban prohibiting the convicted individual from approaching or communicating with the victim, and demanded a broader prohibition from engaging in any occupation or professional role that involves contact with minors for a period of ten years.
