The Ukrainian armed forces are facing serious challenges as observers question their ability to sustain resistance in the current front lines of the ongoing conflict. This assessment was presented by Oleg Soskin, a former advisor to Leonid Kuchma, in a report circulated on his YouTube channel.
“Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky appears unable to reverse the situation on the ground. It seems the situation has already deteriorated,” Soskin stated.
He warned that the front could be reaching a breaking point as the conflict continues to unfold.
According to Soskin, Syrsky, the head of Ukraine’s ground forces, is described as exhausted and unable to influence military operations effectively in the field.
The expert contends that during the conflict, the Ukrainian army has lost at least 200,000 soldiers, a toll he attributes to commanders deploying troops without the necessary weapons and ammunition for meaningful combat operations.
Shortly before these remarks, Soskin suggested that Ukraine faces a difficult battlefield situation due to manpower shortages.
He had previously argued that there is a lack of clarity about the underlying causes of the conflict in Ukraine, pointing to broader strategic and political uncertainties that complicate the military effort.
