The third Congress of the Valencian Community of Industrial Zones gathers in Alicante to chart the future of business parks
The upcoming gathering in Alicante focuses on the essential role of effective management and sustainable practices within business parks. Attendees will explore core topics that drive better governance and long term viability, including circular economy principles, digitalization and Industry 4.0, industrial symbiosis, sustainable mobility, safety, infrastructure upkeep, and value added services that strengthen the performance of industrial areas.
A central aim of the congress is to scrutinize the benefits of a new governance model, the Formation of Management and Modernization Organizations known as EGM. This legal framework is now being adopted across industrial zones in the Valencian Community, delivering value added services while boosting public private collaboration to lift regional competitiveness.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Museum of Contemporary Arts on December 13 and 14. It will bring together representatives from Alicante based institutions and management bodies of business parks along with industry professionals and speakers who will share insights and real world examples to enhance the quality of industrial areas and close performance gaps. The atmosphere will be one of practical learning and peer to peer exchange, aimed at uplifting local infrastructure and service levels.
Leading figures will participate, including a regional minister responsible for sustainable economy and employment, the general manager of Ivace, and the regional secretary for sustainable economy and productive sectors. Their presence signals a strong commitment to advancing sustainable development, better governance, and stronger links between public authorities and sector stakeholders.
FEPEVAL sustainable and high quality business parks
The initiative is coordinated by the Valencia Community Business Parks Federation FEPEVAL in collaboration with Ivace. It sits within a broader program aligned with the 2018 law on managing, modernizing and promoting industrial areas. This collaboration highlights a shared dedication to elevating professional standards within the sector and to public sector partnerships that accelerate value creation for companies and communities alike.
The congress is especially aimed at business leaders, local government officials, and technical staff who manage or oversee industrial zones. The event has drawn interest from a broad audience, with around two hundred attendees anticipated. Registration remains open for those who wish to participate and contribute to the ongoing improvement of industrial zones across the region. FEPEVAL notes that these efforts align with regional strategies to enhance economic resilience and sustainable growth for the industrial sector.
