Summary of a Lost and Found Mystery in a Contained World

Summary:

Mario, portrayed by Álvaro Morte, tends a vast lost and found warehouse where decades of accumulated pieces live. He has chosen to retreat from everyday life, dedicating his time to tracing the origins of items and reuniting them with their rightful owners. Only Helena, a young policewoman who often visits the warehouse, manages to gently crack the shell he hides behind. The routine is disrupted when a suitcase pulled from the river arrives at the warehouse, revealing baby clothes alongside human remains. Mario sets out to uncover the story behind the find and traces the suitcase to Sara, a young woman who has suffered in a human trafficking network since childhood. The organization treats people as if they were disposable objects, stripping them of identity and dignity. The film is directed by Jorge Dorado, known for work in both cinema and television and a three-time Goya Awards nominee, with the screenplay crafted by Natxo López, whose recent projects include Perdida and Pastor. The narrative unfolds with a quietly mounting tension as the pieces of a brutal past threaten to destabilize a fragile present, raising questions about memory, responsibility, and the thin line between keeping a promise and paying a price for truth.
