Inflation is rising and rental prices are climbing. Unemployment creates real stress for many households, and in Spain there are several forms of support available to residents facing this situation.
Among the options, the most widely known unemployment benefit, often referred to as unemployment, provides a monthly pension to those who qualify. The amount and duration of SEPE subsidies depend on how long contributions were made and the salary base. Yet there are additional avenues beyond this option. There are less familiar alternatives for people who do not qualify for traditional unemployment benefits.
Starting today, a government aid of 200 euros is available.
There is a relatively little known SEPE aid for citizens with family responsibilities in need. The subsidy for family responsibilities offers applicants an amount equal to 80 percent of the higher IPREM indicator this year. In 2022 the monthly amount was 463 euros; with the IPREM increase, the amount for 2023 rises to 480 euros per month.
What if you have worked less than a year? This is the unemployment benefit you may claim.
What requirements must be met to access the subsidy for people with family responsibilities?
If unemployment benefits have been exhausted and there are family responsibilities, this subsidy may be accessible. The following conditions apply:

-
