Two years passed since the town’s food market paused for preventive sanitation, and now life is nearly back to normal. After bustling events that drew crowds in record numbers, the scene reopens with energy. The fifth edition of Street Food Market returns to Plaza Séneca, inviting everyone to explore a vibrant weekend from 18:00 on Friday, June 3, through 23:00 on Sunday, June 5.

The journey of the state’s famed FOOD TRAILER began at Alicante’s old bus station, and from that starting point a broader tour spread across the province. Over the years this movement has grown into a celebrated street food culture, enriching communities with culinary craft and live performances. Alongside affordable, high-quality bites, visitors can enjoy a welcoming gathering space where food lovers and curious newcomers mingle. The fifth edition promises free access to all outdoor events and concerts, inviting families and friends to linger and discover.

Across June 3, 4 and 5, a lineup of 14 enduring food trucks will bring a wide spectrum of flavors. Expect world-inspired offerings such as Tex Mex staples, sizzling hot dogs, hearty burgers, and comforting pancakes. The weekend also features a curated program designed to delight attendees of every age. The opening highlight is a tribute titled The Awakening of Silence, a heartfelt homage to the Heroes of Silencio, set to begin at 21:30. On Saturday, June 4, Granada-born musician EL JOSE will perform a live show blending diverse styles that captivate the crowd. The night continues with a celebrated Beatles tribute at 12:30 a.m., followed by a lighthearted close with Liverpool Band performing on June 5 and a Comedy Night hosted by Alberto Abril and Marco Antonio at 9:30 p.m.

The celebration is designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, featuring activities for children to enjoy alongside the food and music. Alberto Celdrán and the clown act Edi are part of the family programming, along with dedicated children’s workshops that invite young visitors to participate in hands-on activities.

Three days of live music keep the atmosphere lively, with DJ Adrianola stepping in to bring additional energy during quieter moments when there are no main stage performances. All programming is free to attend, and beverage stands offer a curated selection of beer and soft drinks to accompany the gastronomic offerings. Street Food Market remains a dynamic marketplace where trucks, vans, caravans, stalls, and food truck carts with vintage aesthetics converge to showcase a broad range of quality cuisine, celebrating culinary artistry while inviting people to enjoy public space in a relaxed, sociable setting. The event continues to fuse culinary culture with the enjoyment of shared, outdoor spaces, underscoring the market’s mission to create memorable, accessible experiences for everyone who loves good food and great company.

Note for readers: The content emphasizes a community-focused, family-friendly festival experience with a blend of food, live music, and interactive activities. The event is presented as a cultural checkpoint that supports local vendors and regional gastronomy while inviting visitors to explore diverse flavors in a festive outdoor environment.
