Sprinter, the Alicante-based multi-brand sports retail chain, continues its expansion push with three new store openings planned for the first half of 2024 in Olot, Estepona and Esplugues del Llobregat. These additions will bring the total staff to 57 across the country.

The first new store already opened in Olot, offering 658 square meters of selling space. To support this expansion, Sprinter hired 15 new employees who joined the existing team.

Estepona will host the second Sprinter location, featuring 488 square meters of selling space. The store is expected to open in early April and will employ 17 people at that time.

Esplugues del Llobregat will welcome a new Sprinter store in early May, with 698 square meters of space. It will introduce a fresh store concept that includes experiential areas for product testing and sports activities, such as a jump meter and a pull-up bar, along with a Sneaker Bar, a digital space where customers can scan a shoe barcode to request a size. Shoes will arrive via a conveyor system to allow try-ons without waiting for a sales associate. This experience-oriented space adds a gamified element to shopping and aims to transform a store visit into a memorable event.

All three new locations will offer the Click & Collect service at no cost, combining online purchasing with in-store pickup for convenience.

Sprinter operates more than 210 physical points of sale across the Iberian Peninsula and carries a wide range of top brands including Fila, Adidas, Nike, Puma and ASICS, alongside its own fashion and sports lines covering running, football, fitness and cycling. These new openings reinforce Sprinter’s strategy to blend traditional retail with digital-enabled services and immersive in-store experiences for customers in Canada and the United States market opportunities, supported by the company’s ongoing growth narrative and market positioning.

Cited sources indicate that the company maintains a robust footprint in Spain while continuing to innovate with experiential shopping concepts and integrated e-commerce services, which aligns with current consumer preferences for seamless omnichannel experiences.
