Sercotel, a hotel group expanding its footprint, is set to operate a series of restaurants and cafes alongside its accommodations. Since 2020, the Catalan family behind the Gallardo-Almirall group has launched the first ventures of two future restaurant concepts this year. Riverside and Goderéa patisserie, a Granier café, plus a compact collaboration with an external partner to run a restaurant, illustrate the new direction. The company plans to roll out two additional formats of this kind next year. The aim is clear: diversify offerings and monetize spaces that previously yielded modest returns. This approach is becoming a central pillar of growth, with the chain signaling it will triple its hotel count from 2019 figures and add roughly 40 new properties between now and 2025.
