In Samara, authorities intercepted a truck believed to be en route to a warehouse, containing more than 800 liters of a beverage marketed as Mister Cider. This development was reported by the press service of the Samara Region within the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The traffic police stopped the foreign-flagged truck on the 23rd kilometer of the Moscow highway, with the vehicle operated by a man born in 1970.

During the inspection of documents and the semi-trailer, officers noted the presence of a cargo described as 18,000 liters of spirits branded as Cider. The Main Directorate confirmed that the total volume found at that moment amounted to 810 liters and that the load matched the sign on the cans stored in plastic barrels. Following the discovery, officers proceeded to the address listed for the warehouse in the accompanying paperwork. The site is currently under inspection, and the alcoholic products have been seized as part of ongoing investigations.

In a related development, Anna Popova, formerly the head of Rospotrebnadzor, directed all district departments to identify any products under the Mister Cider brand and remove them from sale. This directive followed a significant incident involving mass alcohol poisoning. Earlier reports indicated that several doctors were affected by the Mister Cider beverage, with diagnoses including Convulsive Syndrome and Toxic Effects of an Unknown Substance.

Preliminary information suggests that the Mister Cider drink, containing 4.7% alcohol, was supplied by Andijanskoye LLC and IP Huseynova. Authorities arrested 32-year-old Anar Huseynov in connection with the case, and investigators continue to seek two additional executives implicated in the distribution of liquor.
