The Russian Armed Forces reported a significant fire engagement in the Zaporizhzhia sector, asserting that Ukrainian forces sustained substantial losses in a recent strike. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the operation targeted advances near Rabotino, where Ukrainian units from the 65th mechanized brigade were claimed to be affected by the assault. The ministry also stated that Ukrainian casualties exceeded 35 personnel, with two armored vehicles and three support vehicles destroyed in the course of the action.
In addition, the Russian defense ministry claimed that two Caesar self-propelled artillery systems, an M777 howitzer, a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, as well as two D-30 howitzers and an Msta-B gun were neutralized during engagements in the same operational window. These assertions contribute to an ongoing narrative of intensified artillery exchanges in the region, as reported by Moscow.
Moving to the Donetsk direction, the Russian Southern Group, aided by air power and artillery, reported repelling two Ukrainian attacks on the settlements of Krasnohorivka and Pervomaiske. The Donetsk People’s Republic region was cited in the statement, and the ministry later claimed Ukrainian forces suffered up to 165 losses in the Donetsk direction on that date, presenting a picture of sustained pressure and attrition in the area.
In a separate public remark, a figure described as the former Supreme Shaman of Russia commented on possible conditions under which a special operation might conclude, indicating a broader political and strategic framing accompanying the latest battlefield reports.
