Tuning studio Arctic Trucks unveiled in Russia a customized take on the Chinese Tank 300 SUV. The project embraces rugged capability with thoughtful engineering tweaks that aim to boost off-road performance while maintaining the essence of the original design. The result is a SUV that appeals to enthusiasts who value articulation, durability, and a distinctive stance, all wrapped in a package that remains practical for daily driving.

Externally the tuned SUV is noticeable thanks to widened wheel arches and oversize tires measuring 35 inches in diameter. The engineers increased ground clearance by nearly five centimeters, reaching 272 millimeters, a gain that translates into improved approach and departure angles. Specifically, the approach angle improved by seven percent and the departure angle by eight percent, enabling more confident navigation over obstacles and rough terrain. The suspension has been reinforced to endure the added loads and stresses of aggressive off-road use, while preserving the ride quality that drivers expect from a modern SUV. Under the hood, the powertrain remains faithful to the original: a 2.0-liter gasoline engine delivering 220 horsepower paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-weather capability is preserved with a full-time all-wheel-drive system, ensuring traction on varying surfaces and conditions.

The tuning kit, comprising 75 individual components, is offered at a base price of 1.2 million rubles. When the finished vehicle is completed, the total comes to 5.3 million rubles. The package includes engineering refinements, upgraded components, and a manufacturer-style warranty that covers three years or up to 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. This warranty supports owners who push the limits of what a factory model might achieve and want the reassurance that the custom build remains serviceable and reliable.

Before this, Skoda introduced the second generation Kodiaq in Berlin. As with its predecessor, the new Kodiaq preserves the option of five or seven seats, enabling families and groups to tailor the interior to their needs while keeping a focus on practicality and cargo capacity. The official rollout in Europe is planned for early 2024, signaling a continued push by Skoda to refresh its midsize SUV lineup and offer modern conveniences, efficient powertrains, and updated safety features in a competitive market segment.

Earlier industry chatter highlighted Chery announcing an upgrade for the 7 Pro Max and 8 Pro Max crossovers, signaling the brand’s ongoing commitment to expanding its lineup and delivering refreshed designs. The broader market context includes a growing emphasis on versatile, value-driven offerings that blend everyday usability with capable performance in a wide range of driving scenarios.
