Rosseti Group Completes Readiness for the 2023–2024 Autumn-Winter Season

All Rosseti group companies have completed preparations for the 2023–2024 autumn-winter period in line with their internal calendars, according to remarks by Rosseti General Director Andrei Ryumin at a nationwide meeting chaired by the energy minister. The event was broadcast on the companies’ Telegram channels.

Ryumin noted that funding for the repair program surpassed 91 billion rubles, marking an increase of about 5 billion rubles from the 2022 level. He also highlighted improvements across key operational indicators as the region prepares for peak demand periods.

He stated, The main objective has been achieved: Rosseti group companies completed all necessary steps for the autumn-winter period on schedule. Repairs were completed, staff were trained, and emergency stockpiles were built up. The situation in the newly integrated federal subjects remains under close inspection; Rosseti began operating the backbone network facilities in 2023, expanding resilience across the network.

During the briefing, it was emphasized that energy groups refurbished 14.4 thousand transformers rated at 110 kV and above, replaced 78.3 thousand switching devices at 6 kV and above, and opened more than 165 thousand hectares of transmission line routes nationwide.

Additionally, approximately 10 thousand work teams were organized, supported by 49 thousand experts and roughly 24 thousand units of specialized equipment to undertake repair and emergency restoration tasks. About 6.9 thousand spare power supplies with a total capacity near 600 MW were prepared to ensure rapid response capabilities.

The discussion also covered broader issues tied to the network complex’s operation, with particular attention to the implementation of the investment program and long-term modernization strategies.

Ryumin also outlined ambitious late-year plans, including milestones tied to the development of the Eastern railway corridor and the power supply for industrial production. Specific projects mentioned included the Kovyktinskoye and Chayandinskoye gas fields, along with energy center reconstructions in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, and other major hubs. The objective remains to complete reconstruction efforts and enhance reliability across key regional centers.
