International Women’s Day events were hosted at the Rosneft pavilion during the Russia Forum held at VDNKh, according to the company’s press release. A session titled “Oil and Beauty” informed attendees about products derived from petroleum, including clothing, cosmetics, and medicines, and highlighted the contributions of female scientists to the petroleum industry, from the history of petroleum discovery to its modern applications.
A representative from the Whole Genome Sequencing Center, Svetlana Levandovskaya, delivered a mini-lecture titled “Genetics and Women’s Health.” The audience learned about the causes of hereditary diseases and strategies for prevention and management.
Participants also gained insights into the national genetics initiative “100.000+Me,” implemented with Rosneft’s support. The initiative aims to read the genomes of 100,000 Russians to improve early diagnosis and to explore new treatment approaches and medications for genetically influenced conditions.
Another discussion, “Balancing a Traditional Role as a Mother with a Professional Career,” brought together women from politics, public service, charitable organizations, and business. They exchanged experiences about personal fulfillment, career progression, and sustaining family well-being.
Additionally, a nutritionist-led session on “Fundamentals of Women’s Health” explored the links between diet, wellness, and appearance, emphasizing practical guidelines for health and vitality.
To round out the program, visitors participated in master classes and quizzes with Rosneft prizes. The events continued through March 10 as part of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra thematic Days at the Rosneft pavilion, where various creative ensembles performed for attendees.
