The incident occurred around 11 p.m. when a young woman spotted a man wearing a gold bracelet. She drew near and engaged him in conversation, displaying apparent affection and even offering intimate services, according to the police summaries. During the exchange, the victim described feeling the other woman grasp his arm while he attempted to walk away, repeatedly denying any interest in her. A short distance from the scene, he checked and found the bracelet missing, discovering that the woman had disappeared from the street.
One day later, civilian security officers were called to the scene after a call to the CIMACC 091 emergency line. The victim had seen the same woman again and reported the encounter, prompting renewed police attention to the case.
A patrol unit from the national police gathered information about the suspected perpetrator while other officers kept the area under watch to prevent any possible escape. Within minutes, a patrol vehicle located the suspect and proceeded with identification procedures.
