The RANEPA Presidential Academy is expanding access to employment opportunities by participating in the federal initiative Promoting Employment within the national Demography project. This cooperative effort brings together job seekers and employers, with the university’s press service outlining the collaboration.

As part of the Employment Assistance program, the academy provides students with chances to upgrade their qualifications at no cost or to pursue additional vocational training aligned with their interests. Participation is open to residents from every region of Russia, broadening pathways to skilled and sustainable work.

According to Sergey Shatunov, Deputy Director of the RANEPA Center for Public Relations, the Presidential Academy encourages everyone to refresh their knowledge and sharpen their skills through university programs at no charge. This approach is designed to boost the likelihood of securing employment with a chosen company and to support ongoing professional growth and career progression.

He noted that the academy now offers a catalog of 1,000 complimentary training programs, with each region hosting a unique selection tailored to local labor market needs. The program catalog covers a wide range of disciplines and career tracks, ensuring relevance to regional employers and industry demands.

Among the study areas are state and municipal administration, accounting and finance analysis, law, design, marketing, information technology, and related fields. Education is delivered through both in-person sessions and remote learning, providing flexible options for learners with varying schedules and responsibilities.

More than 100 partner training organizations participate in delivering the program, and 45 regional branches of RANEPA extend the academy’s reach across the country. This network fosters collaboration between higher education institutions and the public and private sectors to align training with real job opportunities.

In recent years, the academy has trained tens of thousands of individuals, with several thousand entering the workforce through these initiatives. The program’s impact is measured not only by hours of instruction but also by the successful placement of graduates into jobs that match their newly acquired skills and interests.

The University invites participation from a broad spectrum of candidates, including women on maternity leave and non-working mothers with children under seven, individuals over fifty, the unemployed, and people under thirty-five who are completing or have completed secondary or tertiary education. The program welcomes final-year students and graduates from colleges and universities, veterans seeking civilian employment, those at risk of dismissal, and other groups facing barriers to employment.

Recent research from a prominent national survey highlighted employers’ readiness to hire new graduates. Among 1737 participating companies, a large majority expressed eagerness to recruit young professionals and to offer opportunities for advancement in the near term. The data also suggest that employers value competencies and practical skills even when prior work experience is limited, underscoring the importance of targeted training programs like those offered by RANEPA.
