Provincial police investigators have recently detained six individuals as suspects in a sequence of violent crimes that included two wounding offenses and unlawful detention. The alleged incident unfolded at an apartment in the Segundo Ensanche area of Pamplona, where the victims say they were taken against their will and subjected to assault during a confrontation that escalated quickly. Three of the arrests occurred in Beriáin, followed by three more in Pamplona. The six detainees are aged between 19 and 27 and have prior criminal records that include injury, threats, extortion, and theft. The victim managed to persuade her captors that she could secure the money and arranged to call someone who could help negotiate or resolve the situation, a moment that provided a critical opening for her to escape safely.
After escaping, she sought medical care at a health center and filed a formal complaint with the Provincial Police Complaints Office and Citizen’s Attention. Medical professionals documented injuries including a wound to the head caused by a hammer, a stab wound, and multiple bruises over her body. Concern for her safety prompted her to stay hidden as a precaution until authorities assigned to the case located and protected her from further threats.
The victim also relayed that the assailants had contacted her social circle to confirm they were aware of her alleged involvement in the loss of the 1,000 euros, a development that appears to have been part of an intimidation strategy intended to deter witnesses and complicate the investigation. Authorities from the Crimes Against Persons Brigade initiated a comprehensive inquiry focused on identifying and capturing those believed to be responsible for the injuries and unlawful detention violations.
The investigative process involved coordinating with multiple units to assemble evidence, interview witnesses, and establish a clear timeline of events that would support prosecutorial actions.
