Across South America, and especially in Colombia, a vibrant community surrounds the Niva SUV. Some fans take their passion further than most, turning journeys into lasting stories. A couple, joined by their dog Chucky, undertook an epic route exceeding 8,000 kilometers.
Monica, Guto, and Chaka traced a remarkable path through Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Peru, Suriname, and beyond. By late summer, they had logged roughly 3,800 kilometers, navigating rough roads, exploring remote landscapes, and immersing themselves in local nature and culture. Their adventure included a podcast recording and a vlog episode, offering viewers an intimate look at their life on the road.
A folding tent was mounted on the roof of their Niva, ordinary luggage doubled as kitchen storage, and the interior offered space for two bicycles, two folding chairs, and a cozy area for Chaka. The setup exemplifies a rare and inspiring mobile lifestyle that turns a car into a home on wheels.
Few motorhomes on the road echo such ingenuity and adaptability. This journey captures the spirit of exploration and the bond between travelers, their vehicle, and their companions.

Under the banner of public engagement, efforts began to raise funds for essential tires. The initiative supports vehicles used by the People’s Police and operational services of regional authorities, including ambulances and emergency response units, as well as humanitarian aid deliveries and military equipment essential to regional stability. Contributions can be made on the collection page.
